16. Kitchen Appliances
- As compared to other rooms, kitchen is more time consuming and needs much more attention and this is why knowing Kitchen Tips are a must for movers. Some of them are:
- First of all, make a list of things you will be needing to pack the appliances, like, bubble wrap, tape, blankets or towels.
- Prefer packing your kitchen table first, as it will create good space for you in the kitchen for the rest of the packing and also because, it’s the heaviest object in the kitchen and you’ll be tension free after that. If your table is detachable, prefer disassembling it and packing it in pieces, you can reassemble it once you are shifted. Pack it using bubble wrap.
- Turn the power off for all the kitchen appliances. Then, cover all of them as stated in the user manuals book provided when you buy the product and pack it back in their original boxes. If not original boxes, then the ones purchased for relocation can also be used. Make sure that you clean all the ice trays. Use tape on the doors of the fridge. Towels can also be used for safe shifting.
- Pack your glass utensils in small boxes using tape. Place the heaviest utensil at the bottom of the box, and prefer packing them with their lids, so that you don’t have to find them at the time of unpacking and assembling.
- Pack all the cups and dishes with newspaper and tape and fill the empty space inside the boxes with crumbled paper.
